Director of Human Resources

Reports To:

Sr. Vice President of Human Resources

Hours:

40+ hours per week -- depending on current job assignment

Classification:

Exempt

Travel:

20% and as needed

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources function
  • Responsible for the overall HR/HRIS/Benefit strategic vision and implementation of supporting plans, analytics and reports
  • Partner with all Departments to uphold the Company Vision and Mission

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid knowledge of State and Federal employment related legislation and ability to translate new laws into compliance focused actions
  • Proficiency with various reporting tools (Power BI) and expert abilities with Excel
  • Proven ability to build and analyze custom reports to meet the requirements of Senior Management
  • Solid business writing and organizational skills
  • Experience in the development of training content and ability to conduct stand-up and online training for all levels of leadership
  • Ability to hire and maintain a team of individuals who will engage in relationships with company management and associates to achieve department objectives
  • Solid understanding of organizational compliance requirements and objectives as well as the skills and abilities to drive management toward them

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures company's compliance through successful management of the Human Resources Department
  • Develops reports to meet management requests and needs for compliance related information to various levels within the organization
  • Communicates changes in company policies and procedures and implements processes to ensure companywide compliance
  • Provides consultation to all levels of the organization on the compliance practices and building processes to achieve them
  • Consults with internal or external legal counsel as appropriate or as directed by CEO

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Typing /filing
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 8 to 10 years' related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree is preferred
  • SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
