Financial Compliance Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Compliance Analyst is a multi-dimensional role that is responsible for:

• Monitoring and reviewing Payfac (Payment Facilitator) transactions, reviewing and following up on chargebacks and performing data entry of all incoming merchant applications which are not automatically or systemically approved
• Maintaining existing reporting and creating new reporting and analyses to drive continuous productivity improvements across the company’s various divisions and assist in identifying opportunities where efficiencies can be gained and/or costs can be reduced

Collaborate with various team members across all divisions and within the corporate office to identify opportunities to:

• Drive efficiencies in processes via new tools or automation
• Perform various loss prevention analyses and partner with operational leaders in order to identify fraud and theft and mitigate risk
• Consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources to gain new insights into the business
• Work with divisional teams and leadership to develop processes required to successfully implement approved initiatives
• Create and produce KPI reporting to evaluate performance against approved initiatives

Payfac Operations:

• Monitor merchants’ credit card processing activities using different risk monitoring tools
• Work daily retrievals and chargebacks in accordance with the Card Scheme rules
• Maintain records of all retrievals and chargebacks
• Answer internal staff and management along with merchants’ inquiries with regard to Risk Management issues
• Contact merchants, cardholders and banks to verify transactions processed through merchant accounts
• Complete management reporting informing management of performance and related risk levels of merchants
