Facilities-FLO - Days

1st Shift, 7AM-4:30PM

The Maintenance Custodian reports to the Capstone Logistics Facility /Maintenance Supervisor. This role will primarily – be responsible for the daily maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of the facility - including but not limited to:

• Must have knowledge of professional cleaning procedures and products in a commercial environment
• demonstrated experience in custodial duties.
• Must be able to develop and follow a routine,
• Be flexible enough to accommodate special projects.

Essential Functions

•  Performing tasks safely
• Ensuring area housekeeping requirements are met
• Abiding by all Federal, State, Local, OSHA rules and Capstone Logistics safety practices
• Meeting established procedures and productivity, safety and quality standards
• Meets attendance & punctuality standards – please remember that attendance at facility is required 99% of the time
• Communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner -
• Cleans, dusts and mops floors.
• Vacuums carpets and remove stains from carpet as they occur. Move light furniture to access carpet vacuuming,
• Empties all waste containers, insert liners as required, remove and deposit trash in designated containers. Remove all flattened cardboard and place in designated locations,
• Performs heavy work such as: unloading and transferring of supplies and equipment and moving and re-arranging furniture and equipment,
• Report any lights out to Facilities Maintenance Staff,
• Understanding of and compliance with procedures relating to infection control and effective cleaning methods,
• Knowledge of the safe application of chemicals and products used in cleaning and sanitizing,
• The safe handling of chemicals to avoid either personal injury, exposure to others or damage to equipment,
• Receptive to change – can adapt to changing circumstances,
• Managing self – exhibits a strong sense of own capabilities.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and ethical conduct.

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Forklift Propane tank exchange
• Water cooler exchange
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High-energy individual with a strong work ethic, the work is fast paced and very physical
• Sit-down/ Standup Forklift Certification or Experience
• Lift and carry a minimum of up to 25-75lbs, materials handled vary
• Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate
• All candidates should be over the age of 18 and will have to undergo a pre-employment drug test and background check
