Loss Prevention Manager

Department: Corporate Job Status: FT



FLSA Status: Reports to: David Gairhan

Hours: As assigned Overtime: As required

     


POSITION SUMMARY


The Loss Prevention (LP) Manager is responsible for:

  • Weekly LP auditing reports and investigations.
  • Conduct LP one on one interviews.
  • Work with operations and chain of command to identify billing trends and errors.
  • Work with operations to establish and identify best practices for money handling.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Capstone Logistics partner's LP departments.
  • Assist Capstone Logistics partner groups with security or LP concerns or investigations.
  • Track and report criminal cases pending and restitutions status.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the auditing of operations processes and procedures using Capstone intranet reporting and established best practices. Communicate findings and concerns to the appropriate chain of command to establish corrective actions needed to meet our policy and procedures outlined. When needed you will need to travel, conduct interviews, and work multiple shifts as needed. The LP manager is responsible for identifying and migrating Capstone Logistics losses. As the LP Manager, you will outline your findings, gather consensus on how to proceed with multiple departments and recommend those actions to operations chain of command.

     



SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Loss Prevention Manager

  • Audit cash handling/billing procedures using established methods.
    • Work theft and fraud case from identification through prosecution or termination.
    • Assist the operations in identifying potential loss or fraud trends or concerns.
    • Develop preventive measures that assist Capstone with identifying and limiting losses.
    • Assist accounting with site compliance and follow-up when needed.
     

     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 Years' experience in Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement
  • 5 Years' experience in Warehousing
    • Operational knowledge and cash flow of the docks is essential.
    • Fundamental understanding of standards of law enforcement report writing.
    • Experience working with law enforcement or criminal court systems.
    • Ability to work, track, and document case from beginning to end.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Ability to write routine correspondence with co-workers, employees of another organization, and customers.
      • Ability to create and implement new LP training lessons/programs.
      • Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
      • Ability to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
        • Warehouse management skills with a broad knowledge of warehouse operations.
        • Management skills required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning
        • Ability to travel on demand and work multiple shifts when needed

     


WORK ENVIRONMENT


Warehouse with limited climate control. 24 / 7 operation. Ability / Willingness to travel as needed.
