Job Description

Capstone is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a newly created position within the growing FP&A team. This role will be responsible for providing financial analysis to drive business results and operating efficiencies for the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with business units and departments on financial modeling

• Annual plans, quarterly and long range forecasts through preparation, analysis and interpretation of detailed financial forecasts

• Provide leadership in developing improvements in the level of financial forecasting and financial accountability, including development of business intelligence and dashboard reporting tools (Power BI)

• Monitor and analyze weekly/monthly operating results against budget and forecast

• Prepare profit and loss and financial statements as well as balance sheet and cash flow analysis

• Prepare, review, analyze and interpret financial and budgetary reports, including month and year end reports, including variance analysis

• Support due diligence efforts for M&A projects

• Prepare Executive analysis and make recommendations to control operational costs and increase revenue

• Analysis of operating results compared to plan, prior periods and forecasts. Includes institution of framework for company analysis -- change in sales through EBITDA and net income

• Assist with drafting board reports, ratings agency materials,


• 3 to 5 years of progressive FP&A experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance is required; Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Multi-unit experience and/or transportation, logistics or supply chain background a plus

• Demonstrated time-management and multi-tasking skills coupled with a keen ability to prioritize assignments

• Demonstrated experience in the application of analytical methods of addressing business issues with an emphasis on overall corporate decision analysis

• Proficient to expert knowledge of Excel (Charts, graphing, pivot tables, etc.)

• Proficient to expert knowledge of PowerPoint 2007 and preparing presentations

• Experience with Great Plains and/or AX ERP software a plus
