Vice President of Operations:



* Provide operations guidance for the company working with the executive team and field level management teams. With the COO, develop business strategy and direction. Works closely with Senior Executive Team to implement corporate strategic initiatives.
* Provide effective leadership in the management organization of operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives and policies. Provide overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the organization as well as day-to-day leadership and management to all company operations functions. Develop and create strategies and policies aligned with organizational goals.
* Initiate, develop and maintain on-going customer relationships.
* Work closely with sales to identify, develop and sell customer solutions. Present and sell service to current and potential customers to meet revenue growth goals.
* Develop and ensure accurate financial and customer service measurements are maximizing business opportunity.
* Implement programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit. Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization. Implement productivity/quality metrics and incentive programs designed to minimize costs and enhance efficiency.
* Develop budgets, cost controls and obtain data regarding both internal and external business metrics.
* Perform financial analysis of the operational expenses.
* Performs budget planning and ensure adherence to annual goals.
* Review and oversee implementation of organizational directives that support the Corporate Strategic Plan
* Review RFP's in conjunction with the Vice President of Sales for operations feasibility.
* Develop and maintain operational plans to include all business requirements which include labor hours, production costs, KPI reporting in meeting financial objectives.
* Ensure all established costs, quality and delivery requirement commitments are met or exceeded
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 15-20 years of experience in Operations Management in Warehousing, Logistics or Supply Chain related functions
* 7-10 years of C Level Management experience in a multi-site management environment
* Demonstrated performance in exceeding Corporate outlined financial goals
* Long term experience with KPI reporting development and possess a continuous improvement mentality.
* Demonstrated ability to improve processes with internal and external customers in a third party environment
* Proven results developing strong relationships with C level clientele
* Strong organization and prioritizing skills
* Proven ability to drive change with internal and external customers
* Strong history of financial and customer service success
* Record of successfully introducing and implementing strategic initiatives in an logistics / supply chain environment preferred
* Budgeting and forecasting experience required.
* Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to travel 40% - 50% in support of the position


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Reviews and implements innovative plans for the control of planned outputs, budgetary resources, labor efficiency and customer service goals along.
* Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and course corrects the changes in direction of plans.
* Presents reports on performance as requested by the Chief Operating Officer.
* Develops and presents to the Senior Management Team matters requiring a decision.
* Develops and recommends corporate operations policy within the Operations Department.
* Defines and recommends objectives in each area of Operations. Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
* Reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts.
* Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the corporation in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
* Reviews and approves the setting of budgets throughout the Operations Department.
* Reviews and approves Operations major projects involving major functional changes within the Department's functional areas.
* Develops plans in conjunctions with IT Dept. for new areas of technology for the functions along with sufficient planning for areas that support the mission of the Corporation within Operations.
* Performs additional tasks and functions as required
