Warehouse Senior Supervisor

Compensation: Range starts at $64k

JOB SUMMARY:

• Anticipate daily work requirements in advance using the 6-Week and 6-Day forecasts

• Interacts with partner to ensure superior levels of customer service
• Maintains a safe work environment at all times through management of others
• Supervises the day-to-day operation of assigned work groups to ensure that all partner and Capstone requirements are met and implemented effectively
• Assign tasks to Supervisors and Associates in a fair and equitable manner
• Handling of freight as required, meeting company standards and timelines while maintaining a safe work environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee Supervisors
• Oversee Warehouse Personnel

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities:

• Function as the Senior Supervisor, potentially overseeing other Supervisors in the warehouse
• Assist in delegation of departmental activities, Associate scheduling, and real-time client support
• Develop and maintain daily reports as required
• Communicate with Site Manager, General Manager, and client real-time efficiencies for mission completion

• Adjust work force as needed Interview, hire, and train new Associates
• Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed

QUALIFICATIONS:

education and/or experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting
• Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Third-party experience preferred

knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Ability to effectivity present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public

• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Demonstrated ability to train coach, and mentor warehouse personnel
• Demonstrated ability to provide high levels of customer service to internal and external customers
• Excellent aptitude in estimating rates and adding and subtracting mentally
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions, problem solve, and prioritize in an ever-changing environment

physical requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long period of times
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment as needed
• Ability to work in warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
